Scared to announce/Confused about early announcements

I’ve been seeing what I feel like are so many people announcing (across a few different apps) so early! Like as early at 7 weeks! And many more announcing on social media before reaching week 12.

I’m not trying to shame anyone, I’ve just always thought you don’t do that, just in case?

My friends are all really cautious though. And realistically, once you hear a heartbeat and you’re past 9 weeks, I think the MC rate goes down to like .5-1%?

I feel like I’m flirting with danger just telling my close family and I’m 10w and 5d.

Am I just being a super paranoid sally here?!
