How long did it take you to get pregnant after c-section?

I just recently had an unplanned c-section due to baby being breech and although my doctor said it shouldn’t influence fertility in any way, I’m curious to see what other women experienced, since we really wish to have another child in the future.

Our doctor said to wait at least 18 months between pregnancies following my emergency c section with my son. When he was one, we started trying for baby number 2. It took us almost 2 years for our second son. He’s now 4 weeks old!

I got pregnant on the first cycle of trying when my son was 9 months old. It took a year to conceive him, but I had no problems this time

The current recommendation in North America is 9 months between birth and a new pregnancy (18 months total) if you want to attempt a VBAC. Studies show less than six months between raises your risks. 
I had an emergency c section 8 months before getting pregnant (5 weeks today), but I’m headed for a repeat c section so it doesn’t matter as much to me. I was told to wait a year but we started early.

There are some serious risks if you don't wait a year... the scar can open and cause a 'uterine window'.  Please consider waiting at least one year.

I had an emergency c section in March 2018. My periods started again January 2019, we tried in February and got pregnant the first try (just like with our son) I’m now 17 weeks 😊

This was hard for me to answer because I got pregnant about 6-7 months pp so I wasnt sure if that’s what you mean. But it took about 2 months to get pregnant. We rarely had sex it was more of a “if it happens” attitude. We wanted the kids to be close, didn’t think it’d happen that fast so babies will be 15.5 months apart. I was hoping for 18 months but here we are 🤰🏻👶🏻
