Shopping for cloth?

Our first is due in November and we are planning to use cloth. I would like to use prefolds and covers primarily. Where have you CD mamas shopped for covers? I'm having a hard time finding any and I'm not even sure where to look!

I got most of mine on Craigslist and a consignment store. I’ve bought a few off nicki’s diapers and cotton babies. But it’s sort of nice to buy a whole stash that someone is done with!

Nickisdiapers.com. I liked Diaper Junction but they are only selling their house brand now. You can get some on Amazon too. I prefer American made (not Alvas etc from China): Buttons, Thirsties, and Flip are some of my favorite covers. I love having a few of each bc they all have their pros and cons and fit differently. I pick Buttons when I want a trim fit and Thirsties size 2 or Rumparooz when I need to stuff it with a lot of absorbency. I prefer flats over prefolds personally. Prefolds skip the folding step but they are super bulky. They work great though if you don’t mind the size.

I got my prefolds new on clothdiaper.com on sale. OsoCozy organic bamboo, unbleached. My  newborn covers I got second hand on Facebook sale pages. A lot of people sell really good condition, even brand new, diapers for super cheap in Facebook groups. I also have some SmartBottoms that I got off their website on sale as well and some WAHMs. Get a variety of brands because they fit differently. We do mostly pockets once they get big enough for one size but also have prefolds and covers, fitteds, and a few AIOs.
