Moving on to baby food?

My baby just does not seem to be getting full off breast milk anymore I have an appointment but not for another week or so but my baby just keeps fussing nonstop. It’s been going on for days now we thought just cluster feeding but he’s taking like 6 oz (I exclusively pump)every 1-2 hours. He’s 4 1/2 months. I’m gonna have to call his ped.

Your milk IS ENOUGH for him. He is likely going through a leap or a growth spurt which won’t last long just keep going 👏🏼. Breastmilk is higher in fats, nutrition and calories than baby food. It’s even higher in fat than formula would you believe!? Hang in there!

Agreed. Your milk is all he needs. There are a MILLION reasons why he could be fussy and eating more right now, like the huge growth spurt, developmental leap, sleep regression, teething... none of which early introduction of solids would fix. The world health organization recommends that babies be exclusively breastfed till 6 months. Your milk is enough! ❤️
