After birth smell?

I'm 2 week 1 day. When does that gross after birth smell go away? I hate the smell. My stitches are still there so I haven't washed like i normally would because they told me not to quite yet. But when did the smell go away for you? Makes me feel disgusting.

My bleeding is basically done at 2 weeks pp and the smell went away with it. My poor husband gagged when he smelled it for the first time 😂 I tried taking a quick potty break while he was in the shower and his head popped out immediately wondering what it was!

My smell didnt go away until around 6-7 weeks. I thought I had UTI. I even made an appointment and gave them urine sample. No one told me about this! Lol first time mama over here

That's weird. I never smelled a thing and no one even noticed i stink because i dont think i even did really. I took a bath regardless whatthe doctor said and my stitches were perfectly fine! When you pee or bleeding all your stitches are still gonna get wet. Doesnt matter. So if you wanna wash, wash.

I’m literally on the same boat. 2 weeks and 3 days pp and I have te to wash down there. The stitches are so uncomfortable I just feel like ripping three out sometimes, so frustrating as a first time mom. I feel like the pad just makes the feeling even worse and the smell is just disgusting. I wonder how it’ll be washing down there for the first time 😂🧖🏼‍♀️💃🏻
