C sections stories?

I keep reading c section stories and keep seeing that they give u meds before what are those med

They give you a spinal. It's similar to epidural but the needle is small, inserted lower, the meds are stronger but last a shorter time. It numbs you so you can be awake during the surgery and not feel anything. Then they give you pain meds through your iv for a bit, and after that pills for pain as you need/request them.

My epidural failed so they gave me a spinal. They also jacked me up on fluids and Tylenol. I was also given a really strong anti acid but I threw that up immediately so the gave me another dose through my IV after I got to the OR

They just gave me an epidural (but bigger dose) and fluids. Later they gave me something to help my uterus contract (which gave me nausea - so then added an anti nausea drug via the IV)

You get a spinal and a strong dose of Tylenol via a suppository (after your spinal has taken hold so you don’t feel it) and you’ll have to drink a really strong anti acid.
They also give you other drugs via your IV, before, during and after. Honestly can’t remember what the before/during one is...it’s been awhile since my last one. I think if I remember is something to keep you calmish. Afterwards it’s oxytocin to get your uterus contracting and expelling everything. 
Later on they will give you oral Tylenol (acetaminophen) (either extra strength or T3’s, depending on what the doctor believes. I’ve had both, and the extra strength was a joke for me, I had to go to the t3’s or else I was in agony) and Advil (Ibuprofen) that you take every 4-6 hours.
