Ectopic pregnancy

I found out i was pregnant some weeks ago with all excitment i made a doctor's appointment for bloodwork well the results confirmed the pregnancy but the hcg level was too so i went back after 48 hour to see if level is increasing (doubling) well it didn't double but slightly well up so they had me go back again and it slightly well up again but not doubling so now my doctor is thinking i have ectopic pregnancy if so they will have to get rid of my baby but i dont have any sign of ectopic pregnancy can anyone who know anything about this help ease my worries?i have googled alot but i need to hear from people who have experienced this
