Finally can hold her after 35,5 hours 6lbs 9oz 19.5 in

Super long btw

During my entire pregnancy I had high blood pressure. When I was 39 weeks I was induce using four different methods. First we tried this tablet thing( I forgot what it’s called) that the place on my cervix to help it dilated. Similar idea of how pineapple is supposed to induce labor. It dissolves and hopefully would break down the tissue so my water would break. After 12 hours I was still only 1.5 centimeters. So we agreed to move on to the next method which was a balloon catheter filled with saline to help open me up. They filled it with 35ml so when I get to 3.5 centimeters it should fall out. Well that took 12 hours later it finally came out. Now we are at 24 hours of labor and only 3.5 centimeters along. So they started me on pitocin. Slowly increasing the dose every hour. The contractions progressed very slowly so I didn’t really feel pain which I am glad. Once we got to 30 hours the doctors started to get concerned. She was sunny side up and had a fast heart rate. They increased the pitocin even more to hopefully move things along. I finally started to feel the pain. I had gone 32 hours with out any type of pain management. I wanted to do this all natural. But that was not possible. The doctor said that if it continues like this we would have to do a c section. I needed to be able to relax through the contractions so she wasn’t stressed out. I got the epidural because it was what was best for my baby even if I didn’t want it. 2 hours later I felt like I had to go poo. Mowing that it meant I was close I called the nurse and told her. She checked me and said I was 7 centimeters. She put all the stuff in the room to get ready for my little baby. She also grabbed a big bag of saline to but into my uterus because there wasn’t enough fluid. And hour later I was at 10 centimeters. They had me start pushing. It was very hard but because of the drugs I didn’t really feel much at all it was just exhausting. She was stuck under my pelvis so they had to do an episiotomy and suction cup to her head to get her out. After 1.5 hours of pushing she was out. She was purple and not breathing. Her cord was around her neck and twice around her stomach. They took her away and helped her star breathing. I was so out of it I didn’t really understand what was going on. They rolled her out to the nursery and helped her breath. I wasn’t able to see her because I had a fever of 103. she had to be put on antibiotics but they couldn’t get a vein on either arm. They waited because she didn’t have a fever and her breathing started to stabilized. After 6 hours she was pink and breathing on her own. I was finally able to see her. They let me take her into my room and have her there. After 3 days she was safe to go home. A week later and she is doing great. Gaining weight and being the best thing in my life.
