6 months old and ppd?!

Is it possible for ppd to hit me just now when my daughter is already 6 months old. These last 2 months with her has been ruff. I’m doing things all on my own. My husband works 12-13 hour days. Our family lives 8+ hours away and I just feel like I can’t catch a break or my breath.

Do you breastfeed and if so, have you had any changes to your feeding schedule? I did not have PPD but I had major hormonal issues when I started weaning my son off breastfeeding, and by then, I was 20 months PP. I even bled for 22 days straight and went to the OB and was told some women’s hormones don’t adjust well to not breastfeeding. There’s just so much going on with your body after you give birth. Talk to you doctor and make sure you have an outlet. And take care of yourself.

I started PPD medication at 5 months and it saved my life. I’m not sure if I had it earlier than 5 months but that’s when I realized I needed help. Go see your OB, they will help!
