What age did you out your baby in daycare?

My work maternity leave is only 8 weeks unpaid. I don’t qualify for fmla since my company is small. I think my mom can watch her for maybe a month but 12 weeks seem so young for daycare... what age did you put your baby in daycare and any advice or positive things?

If you have to put your baby in daycare, it's okay. Do what you have to in order to be a successful parent. Do your research and look for the best quality care that your budget will allow, and trust that they will take good care of your little angel.

My oldest daughter didn’t start until she was 5/6 months but that’s cause I was in school and not work so I finished high school from home and then college did start until the fall. My son started at 4/5 months again cause I was in college at that time school didn’t start for me till the fall. (My oldest are now 6&5) my new baby will most likely start at 6 weeks unfortunately cause I’ll have to get back to work ASAP and daycares here don’t take babies until they are 6 weeks or older.

My mom was our babysitter until she was 3 and she moved to preschool/day care. We were one of the lucky ones with family very close.

We’ve had a home daycare for many years and the youngest we’ve started is 6 weeks it broke my heart that her momma had to bring her so young but she’s basically part of the family now after 12 years

I worked at a daycare for a year and a half and we didn't take infants younger than 3 months. Make sure when choosing a daycare you look for age requirements 😊

With my first, he didn’t go to daycare until 1 years old. My ex was a stay at home dad. My current pregnancy, baby boy will go at 12 weeks. I’m military, married to a military member and I don’t have a choice.
