11 month old tantrums approaches
My otherwise pleasant (literally was so laid back and super sweet up until this past week) just started to throw tantrums, throwing her head back, hitting, kicking and screaming. Mainly when she gets her diaper changed and if a toy is taken from her. Basically, anything she feels she doesn't want to do, she screams. Today she screeched! It was crazy. So my question to all of your seasoned parents is... How do I address it or are there times I should ignore it to not encourage it? I've tried to redirect which goes well sometimes but I don't want to give in each time. I've tried holding her hands to get her to calm, but she doesn't like her hands Basically I to be held, so I don't know if that's a good idea. At the end of the day, I don't want to raise a spoiled brat. Do I just let her have her meltdown? What do you do especially in public?
I know she's going through a developmental leap right now (Leap 7!) so that will have something to do with it, and she also cannot communicate. I've wanted to try sign language but all she knows is "all done" and "more" but only does it half of the time, lol. Any and all advice is welcomed!!
