Hey ladies! Just for fun, what does everyone do for a living? 
Were you able (or will you be able) to take a nice maternity leave?
Edit: Should have added what I do! I’m a teacher. I feel like my first baby is coming at the ideal time: I’ll go on leave in late February/ early March, be out the rest of the school year, then it’ll be summer break. I’ll have almost six months with my baby! ❤️

Social worker. I get 14 months of paid maternity leave.

Active duty military I get 90 days fully paid non-chargeable leave. My husband also active military gets 21 days fully paid non-chargeable paternity leave.

I'm a nurse and I get 14 weeks total (6 before and 8 after due date) but it's not fully paid, about 60%

I was a grant writer for a non profit cancer agency. But now I’m going to be a stay at home mom! So excited, I have a 16 year old son and I worked so much when he was little, looking forward to experiencing the things I missed while my son was at daycare.

I work in the cyber security industry. 10 weeks paid maternity leave

I’m an online streamer/entertainer. I work for myself so I’m able to take as much maternity leave as I want to, but have to find the right balance of not totally disappearing from my member base and losing their interest and support. I have enough savings to take as much time as I’ll *need*, though. When baby arrives and I’ve recovered, my plan is to just work as much as I have the energy and time for. Whether that’s 2 hours a week or 60 hours (lol) a week, I’ll figure that out when the time comes!
