Adhd mamas?

I’m sure there are adhd mamas in here. Does your child wake up extremely mean? Our daughter every morning wakes up sooo mean! It’s at a point she’s hard to handle. Shes been on vyvanse which she didn’t sleep due to, and now she’s on adderall but both pills she’s so mean before they kick in.

i have adhd and i was this way... my doctor recommended my parents starting my day with hot chocolate or coffee because for people with adhd it actually has the opposite effect on us and calms us down... that might help?

How old is ur child ? Please dont put on add meds at a young age has bee studies and proven facts it alters the brain other ways to deal with it. And i have add to this day im alway angry in the morning. My mom just delt with it best for me even little was to leave me alone till i was fully awake.

Our one son is that way if we try and talk to him. He needs to ease into the morning on his own and then he’s fine. We’ve also found he’s a lot better when he gets adequate rest! Our old is your LO and how many hours do they sleep?

Yep. It was worse when he wasn’t sleeping well. Now he takes .2 mg of Clonidine at night to sleep and there’s a huge difference. Good luck mama.

My daughter doesn’t have adhd but she wakes up every morning and from naps mean. She yells and screams and kicks.  We are hoping it’s just a phase.
