Fainted at my glucose test ๐
So I just finished some training at work and the Life support coach reckons I had something called hypervolemia shock. I'm fine but let this be a warning to you all!
I don't know how it's done in the U.S but here in the U.K before the glucose test they make you fast for 12 hours, nothing wrong there as I stopped eating around 8pm, slept the night and got to the hospital around breakfast time so I wasn't even hungry. But ATM the weather is so temperamental, and yesterday happened to be super humid.
So I go to have my blood taken, I've had about 15 blood tests altogether so I have 0 issues with needles or blood ๐๐ฝ and I start to get a bit hot. After she takes the blood, and I mean seconds after, I immediately become dizzy and sick, and my mum says I've gone pale, I start sweating profusely and I'm shaking at the same time. The nurse laid me back and I closed my eyes for a short period of time, to me it felt like 30 seconds but later I found out I had been out for 10 minutes.
Turns out humidity, fasting and blood loss aren't a great combination.
