Boyfriend has no motivation or work ethic...

My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years, he’s 20. Since graduating high school he has had no motivation from severe depression, social anxiety and diagnosed bipolar disorder. I know he is capable of working but he seems to think he can’t and he is applying for social security. He’s not physically disabled, he is strong and is able to go to parties and hang out with friends. He was denied but his parents are getting a lawyer which could take up to over a year for results. He said after he gets approved (I doubt he will) he will work a part time job 2-3 days per week. Meanwhile I’m in college and working 2 jobs on campus. He told me he feels like he’s stuck and is embarrassed that he can’t provide for me right now. A couple of months ago I told him I am tired of paying or the both of us and I need help, he got a job with one of his friends that lasted less than a month and then when his friend quit from lack of hours he did too. Since then he hasn’t even looked for another job. My parents want me to break up with him because they said he is a bum. I do not want to break up with him but I want to help him get out of this slump. His parents are enablers and give him no responsibilities at all and I am stuck paying for all our dates and driving him around (he is scared to get his license/drive and won’t even let me teach him, yet he complains and acts like a victim that he is always stuck in his room). Does anyone have any advice on how I can help him?
