Was it appropriate to fire her?
A woman working for a startup in San Francisco was fired for questioning the company's decision of providing paid parental leave for child adoption for gay couples. They claimed this proved she was not LGBTQ+ friendly.
I believe that if a company sponsors adoption leave at all, it should apply to all their employees regardless of sexual orientation. However, I do not think it was reasonable to fire this woman on the sole basis that she asked a question.
