When you're ready, will you switch to a toddler bed or a twin bed?

Question

If you have already or when you will be ready to change from a crib will you move to a toddler bed or a twin bed?
We have twins that should be here in approx 6 months but my toddler loves his crib so much so I'm trying to decide if we do move him to a normal bed should it be a toddler bed or a twin bed with rails.

If you have space for a twin bed, that’s probably what I’d do since then you just buy one bed, one mattress, etc. 
We had our daughter in a mini crib until now and just got her a full size crib which the front is removable so it can be a “toddler bed”. We’re basically in one room so we don’t really have space for a twin bed at the moment. She also likes her crib, she knows how to climb out but she rarely does it. I figure we’ll leave it like a crib until she’s climbing out regularly.

I moved my daughter to a twin bed just because I didn’t want to buy the toddler bed only to have to get another bigger bed in a few years. We moved her about 3 months ago because she was climbing out the crib. We just have the mattress on the floor now but plan on moving it to a frame here soon.

I’m planning on getting him out of the crib a little before he’s 2.5. I need it for his new sibling!
