Cost of NIPT?

Has anyone here gotten NIPT? I’m wondering what the cost is, because my midwife asked me about it at my appointment on Monday. I would definitely like to do it, if it’s not too expensive. But don’t really want to pay $1000 or more! And is it even worth it to have it done? Thanks for your help!

I had to pay $600 I think. I didn't find it worth the money looking back. It wouldn't have changed the outcome of my pregnancy either way. #prolife!

If you’re over 35 it’s covered, if not you have to pay unless the doctor gives a reason why you need it I think

I would call your insurance and ask them if it is covered and if it is what the qualifications are for it to be covered.

My insurance tried to fight covering it, then sent me a bill for 2900. Make sure its covered, if not its stupid expensive

I was told $950 before insurance. They said insurance likely won’t help. Once you approve the amount they continue with the test and send the results to your doctor. They will also setup payment plans. That was my experience.
