Are you washing the car seat fabrics?

Are you taking apart your car seat and washing all of the fabrics before baby or...just came out of the box so it’s fine as is?

I didn’t wash mine. Never have with newborns. They’re hardly touching the material anyways normally.

I’ve been wondering this too! I’ve washed everything else so I don’t see why I wouldn’t wash that. I took the fabric pieces off the swing and bouncer to wash. But everyone I’ve talked to says they don’t wash the car seat 🤷‍♀️

I washed my car seat since it was my son's and has been in storage. But I didn't wash it when my son was a baby before using it.

Well it was a gift from my MIL and she did for me so technically yes. I probably would’ve anyway. Sometimes they have that weird factory warehouse smell.

I am. The instructions in the manual tell me how so i feel like its implying I should. Just like any other fabric or clothes shell be touching I want it washed.

I only did because were reusing ours from our previous child and it’s been stored away in the garage. Otherwise if it’s brand new, I wouldn’t.
