How did you get your baby off the pacifier??

My son is almost 8 months old and he loves his pacifier. But he sucks on it when he doesn’t need it. He wakes up in the middle of the night because it fall out!! 
How did you get your little one to stop using it?

I only give my son his for naps and bedtime. And we went threw a stage of him waking up because he lost it but now he knows how to find it. I use the wubba nub so it's a little easier to find in the crib.

My daughter refused the pacifier until 7 months and never slept. She just started liking it a few weeks ago and is only waking up 3 times a night now so I’m praying she continues to like it 😂 I didn’t take the paci away from my other babies until they were 2 and I just explained to them that big kids don’t have pacis and we threw them away and never had an issue.

Omg yes! Following! I also need to know!!! I remember with my daughter she rejected it by her self by three months. She would spit it out and just didn’t take it anymore. But now my son, just turned seven months and he loves that thing! It’s so different for me since she never got it and loves it so much I don’t know what to do either to get rid of it. He cries for it all day!

I seriously get up 3-6 times a night to put her pacifier back in! She can sure take it out and throw it across the room but won’t put it back in! I want to take it away but I’m scared lol.
