Is it weird?

Me and my boyfriend been together for a year and I still haven't been to his place. I always invite him over to my home. I bring him to family gatherings but with him he has never asked me if I wanted to come along. I ask him why I haven't been over and it's just the same excuse "it's my dad" like okay bull. I literally had to cry, yell, and begged to come over. I'm going over next week but it bugs me that I'm finally going because I demanded it. I shouldn't have to beg to go over to his home.

It is weird that I haven't been over despite being together for a year?
