Pros and cons of having second baby?

Question

My husband really really wants another baby, he grew up with his brothers all a year apart. So he wants our son to have a sibling, close as well. He is one right now. It hurts my heart thinking my son won’t get all of our attention anymore. And also, having one stresses me out, so I can’t imagine 2. 🙄 buuut figured I’d ask you guys your pros and cons! And why you chose to have more, or you chose not to!

I might be one and done. Having one alone is a ton of work. Perhaps it’s just her personality and the fact that she is very clingy. If we do have another one, it won’t be until this one is old enough to communicate, listen/follow instruction most of the time, and the be somewhat independent.

My sons will be exactly 3 years apart once number two is born. I really debated the second child, they are a lot of work!  I seriously question how these moms with three plus kids do it (im not going to lie i think they’re nucking futs).  I am now 35.  This will be it for me.

I choose more than one but with appropriate age gap,for me is 4 years. So my boy born in 2015 and now i am pregnant with #2 due date 1feb2020. The reason i wanna hv more than one is because i come from 3 siblings and my husband too. Maybe u can get pregnant again when your first baby 2 years old

Mine are 2 years and 1 month apart and my son is SO in love with his little brother.  I'm very happy with our decision to have a second baby. Honestly I think it's good for him to share things with a sibling and it's been amazing to watch the bond between them grow

I feel the same as you. My daughter is 2, I want another but it hurts bad thinking of taking time from her..in the end though, when we are gone I want her to have siblings

I’m 6 months pregnant and I have a 16 month old. I might be taking some attention away from her...but I’m also giving her a life long best friend. I would be lost without my siblings! It’s going to be hard, but it’ll be worth it.

I was 100% I wanted another because I grew up with 4 siblings and can’t imagine life without them. Until I got pregnant with #2 then I was like wtf did we do??! I panicked about how my first would handle it so much. And I felt that way until just a week or 2 ago, baby is 6 weeks tomorrow. It’s been a hell of a lot of work with 2 and nothing has ever made me feel as sad and guilty as watching my first adjust to having to share us. But he adjusted quick, way quicker than I did, and now it’s pretty neat to watch how much they like each other. My older one asks about the baby all the time and tries to read to him and play with him. The baby loves to watch my first, if he hears his voice he’s trying to find him and will watch him forever, and he’s smiled at his brother before he’s smiled at his dad lol. I’m starting to get pretty excited about watching them grow up together and all their adventures.
