37 week induction?

Any success stories on 37 week induction due to bp issues? I’m 37 weeks 4 days and currently being induced and I’m terrified. Baby was measuring 35 weeks 4 days instead of 37 at last appointment and approximately weighing 5 in a half to 6 pounds... does this sound ok?

Mine did not go well but my advice to you is be vocal! And demand what you want! (Within reason) they took me off pitocin bc they literally had a baby boom last 4th of July and I wish I would have demanded to see the dr before they did bc she was livid when she found out the nurse did it. However, it was worth it all for my precious baby boy 💙

I wouldn’t be too worried about weight. Baby’s breathing will be what they’re paying attention to most. I was induced at 37 weeks due to baby’s major health issues and my bp. My baby needed NICU time but not because of being early. I wouldn’t be worried!

The weighing is always off that i know of i wasnt induced but my son was born at 37 weeks and healthy.  U will be in the right place and will take care of u and baby

I had to be induced due to cholestasis. He arrived at 37 weeks 5 days and was perfect 6lbs 9 ounces.

My story may not be helpful since I started slowly dilating during the 2nd trimester and I was 3 cm dilated by 32 weeks and 7 cm by 36 weeks but I’ll share anyways. My dr wanted to induce me because I was so far dilated and she was worried I wouldn’t make it to the hospital at 35 weeks (I also had an aging placenta, baby was measuring small, and I had low fluid. She also kept failing my NSTs) My motherly instinct told me she would be fine and I wanted her to bake as long as possible. Same thing at my 36 week appt and I still declined. My doctor wasn’t worried bc she figured I wouldn’t make it another day being so far dilated. My next appt was 36 weeks and 6 days and as soon as they took my vitals my doctor came out and told me I no longer had a choice and I had to be induced bc my blood pressure was so high and I have protein in my urine. I walked straight over to the hospital and they told me they would break my water and start the pitocin. Well my doctor came in and broke my water and a few minutes later I was in severe pain so my husband ran out looking for a doctor to give me pain meds and before I knew it I had a room full of nurses and a doctor telling me to push. My labor start to finish was 53 minutes and I didn’t require any medicine.
