Spotting or my period??

Hey ladies! So my cycle has always been irregular and I also experience heavy “spotting” or a light second period around the same time as my ovulation. Does anyone else have this pattern? The spotting is often watery and light pink/red or like filmy brown and dried blood. Is this my vagina like “clearing” out from my last period but super delayed?? I’m not super concerned about it but I just never know what to call it. It’s enough that I sometimes need a pad because panty liners aren’t enough.
