Anyone else experience this?

So I gave birth on Friday, i haven't pooped since the day before, Thursday. Its now Tuesday 😬😬 I had an episiotomy that has been really painful and tough recovering. I've been taking 2 colace a day and only passing gas. Kind of worried like what the heck!! Anyone else have this issue? Is my body afraid to poop?

It’s normal some don’t for weeks! Your body will let you know when it’s ready. Word of advice when actually going don’t push, let gravity do it’s job your lady bits will thank you later and it’ll be a little less painful. Keep taking the stool softerners till after you go maybe once or twice!

I gave birth Thursday and take 2 colace a day and lots and lots of water and fiber products and my husband said to just go when it feels like it wants to come out..no pushing and finally went on Sunday and yesterday and it actually made my stitches from my 2nd degree tear feel soo much better....just let it work it's way out and I even told my husband if I feel it coming, I would poop my pants if I was in a comfy position and then clean up since toilets arent always comfy.
my biggest fear was the unknown...once I got the first one out, the 2nd was easier

Start taking a cap full of miralax every day. I regret not doing it and I now have postpartum hemorrhoids...most painful thing ever!!

When it's time to poop for the first time, just let it come out by itself lol! Same thing happened to me and I also had an episiotomy so I was terrified. Just don't push, that'll be bad. Keep up with the stool softener for sure.

Try what makes you have ti go normally...mine is hazelnut coffee creamer (tmi) but few hours later I was able to go..
