How many weeks for a first visit??

At how many weeks do you first see your OB for an ultrasound appointment? Right now I’m 5 weeks. Just curious as I am new to becoming a mommy. 🤗

It’s different for everyone. I went when I thought I was 7+3, but measured at 6+2 and went back two weeks later. I also had two miscarriages before this pregnancy though, so my doctor wanted to keep an eye on things and make sure it was all going the way it should

I haven’t had my first ultrasound from my doctor and I am 18 weeks. She only does then at 20 weeks unless high risk. I had an appointment for a medical history and stuff at 8 weeks, then did the heartbeat and first prenatal appointment at 12 weeks

They had me come in when my period was 10 days late to take a pregnancy test (regular pee not blood) even though I already got positives at home. Then they booked me for my first appointment when I was 8 weeks where I had an ultrasound (saw the heartbeat 🥰) and met with the doctor. Then I go back two weeks after that for a nurse visit to draw blood and to a urine test to test for UTIs because they are common early pregnancy (I already have one 🙄) then a couple weeks after that I see the doctor again for another routine visit. Once you get established you will see the doctor about once a month until your third trimester. Then they start to see you more often as your due date approaches. 😊
