Not sure if I even have contractions
I'm 40 weeks today, had a membrane sweep to see if that will help things along but I've only had some Braxton hicks early on (my whole stomach would tighten but that was it so I'm right in calling it a Braxton hicks contraction, right?).
Today after my sweep my stomach has tightened a couple times and I've had some sharp cramping a couple times but that's it. I've been told a full contraction is more like a pain that starts in your back, comes up to the front like a serious cramp, then your stomach goes hard. Is that what it's like for everyone?
The most I get is some discomfort, a sharp cramp and occasional stomach tightening completely separate from the cramps.
I also think that half the time the cramp feeling is from her moving her head since she's so low now.
I'm partially grateful I'm not experiencing a ton of painful contractions, but at the same time wish I could have something to actually say "that was definitely something" rather than "I dunno, it might have been a contraction..."
