Am I over reacting

Ok ladies/mummy's

About 2 hours I drop my son off to his dad's, I stayed for a lil bit as me and his family still get on even tho we have broken up( my choice) oh he lives with his sister btw.

Ok back to what happened...... his sister made food for everyone including my son so when the food was ready the dad asked if I could feed him as he was setting up the baby monitor, I said ok but only till my taxi arrives. So I'm feeding my son the food which is chicken nuggets and chips so as you do you blow on the chips to make sure it's not hot , did that bout 4 times but one of the chips was medium size and I broke the tip and blew on it then pasted it to my son few seconds later he squealed as it was still hot inside cause I didn't brake it in the middle to blow on it. Immediately I felt bad as I caused him to hurt himself 😭😭 his dad was there when it happened and said he would go and get him some juice but meanwhile he was in the kitchen with his sister who was still pairing food for her kids too he said to her " Maria's in their burning Adam (our son) and you call yourself a mother"

Without even thinking I shouted back to him that I was going to punch him in the throat and to never say that to me ever again

So my question is ladies do you think I took what he said to heart or was I in the right to react how I did??????
