Sex of the baby..?

I was reading an article on the sex of babies a few days ago and wondered people’s opinions.  
In the article it said that if you were to conceive on ovulation day it is more likely to be a boy whereas if it was intercourse prior or after ovulation date it was more than likely going to be a girl. (Due to the X&Y sperms having different lifespans).
Thoughts?

I’ve heard this as well, and so has many of my relatives who have had babies (but none can confirm which day/specific intercourse led to fertilization) but for us, 7 months and 2 miscarriages later, I don’t care what sperm gets there first just get there and grow healthy please!! every day in my fertile window is important I don’t think I could bring myself to not try every day based on gender at this point. good luck! 🤗🤗

Sounds like the shuttles method which has been debunked. There are so many other factors that can contribute to a child’s sex rather than “timing”. The Ph levels of parents, family history (on male side), diet, and many other things can coincide what sex your baby will have. Sometimes when you change some of those factors you can change your percentage to more of 75% but the is no 100% way of getting the sex you want unless you’re doing IVF. Otherwise it’s merely 50/50.

I don’t believe in this, but what you’re saying makes no sense even if it were true. (I don’t mean what YOU personally are saying...just what you’re relaying from the article.) I’ve heard that sex days before ovulation leads to a girl, but here you said that prior OR after ovulation leads to a girl while day of ovulation leads to a boy. From everything I’ve read, after ovulation wouldn’t be a girl because they supposedly take longer to reach the egg. Unless you just accidentally typed it wrong, that makes no sense. Like I said though, I don’t believe it either way...I think it’s a 50/50 chance every time! Good luck if you’re trying for one specifically enough!! ❤️

I guess girl sperm have longer life span and they can hang around searching for the egg longer? Theoretically? The boys swimmers are good sprinters lol but they don’t last as long...so if you have sex at the beginning of your ovulation window the girl sperm have a better shot and if you have sex later in the window the boys do...

I’ve read that too. But I’ve chosen not to gamble with the days as we’ve been trying for a little bit on all days and we haven’t been successful yet. I guess if you know you’re highly fertile it may be something you’re prepared to gamble with. Good luck!
