Swimming??

I’m sure this question gets asked a lot but I’m one week three days pp and had a second degree tear.. WHEN CAN I TAKE A QUICK DIVE IN MY PARENTS SWIMMING POOL? Lol I’m dying to jump in but don’t want to mess anything up. Thanks!! :)

I had 2 tears. 1 was a 1st degree the other was a 2nd degree. Discharge doctor told me 6 weeks for swimming and baths. I asked last week because I had to go in for mastitis and dr said same thing. She said i could get in for a quick cool off but I couldn't soak in it until 6 weeks. At the time of appt I was 4 weeks PP. I am almost 5 weeks now. She specifically said with tears they worry about bacteria infecting them so 6 weeks....

I called my doctor to ask because I am dying to get in the pool! I was told 6 weeks 😭😭

When you’re done bleeding and stitches are healed.

I got a second degree tear and am not allowed to take a bath so swimming is off the table for me. But every doctor / midwife seems to have different advice so just ask!
