My baby is 2.5 weeks and only nurses for about 5-10 mins during feeds but I have an oversupply. The only times she’ll try to nurse for longer is when she’s super tired and uses me for comfort but she’ll end up throwing up from eating too much. Your LO could be going through another growth spurt possibly? Or just using you for comfort

My little guy doesn't really ever eat longer than 10-20 mins at a time, but he is eating about 12 times a day. His weight gain is good though and the doctor said he is doing a great job!

It depends. In the morning and during the night when I’m engorged she’ll eat for 10 minutes max. Later in the afternoon and evening she’ll eat for hours straight.

My daughter was feeding for 45+ minutes and it turns out she had a tongue tie. Once that was fixed her feeds are down to 15-20 minutes and her weight gain is back on track

If mine is ever latched for more than 10-15 minutes, it’s because she’s fallen asleep and is using me as a pacifier lol. Typically she will throw up if she nurses for too long. You either may have a really slow flow, or your baby may be nursing for comfort.

My daughter takes forever to nurse. Usually 40 min. I have to pull her off and switch sides to keep her awake and eating. I also have to keep an eye on her latch because sometimes her latch is shallow which means it would take her longer to get enough milk.
