What should I expect/need to know

I’m gonna get a tattoo, probably soon. I wanna know what I should expect pain wise and how to take care of it

It really depends on where you get it!
My leg tattoo didn’t feel like anything, but my back tattoo literally had me sweating it hurt so bad 😂 Look up the pain index for tattoo placement on google!
Talk with your artist about all instructions. It’s really their job to tell you how to care for it properly (it grosses me out that some tattoo artists don’t)
It will itch like crazy for a little bit after getting it, but do NOT scratch it... honestly don’t pick it at all for any reason. 
Use A&D or something along those lines for around a week to help it heal (I’ve used a cbd salve for my last 4 tattoos and seriously its life changing)
After a few days, chunks of ink will come out/off when you’re showering- DON’T PANIC, it’s probably just that top layer of skin coming off 😂 
I definitely panicked at first...
I can’t think of anything else, but honestly I think getting tattoos & healing them is so much easier than piercings.

I have over twenty it all depends on position. Most are more of an annoyance then anything. The artist will give you direction on how to take care of your tattoo. Most importantly be careful! They are addicting!

I’ve got a sleeve done and it didn’t hurt there more like little cat scratches but everyone’s pain is different. Towards the wrist is where the cat scratch pain was felt but in the middle it kind of tickled because i just let the vibration

I have one there and it hurt. It seems like a pretty sensitive area. I have 16 all over my body and that one is in my top five most painful. It also depends on how heavy handed the artist is and what kind of design. Mine was outlined, colored, blended and highlighted so they same area was tattooed 4-5 times so it got pretty sore. Wash with antibacterial soap a couple times a day and apply a light layer of aquafor to keep it from drying out. I don't recommend a&d. It tends to trap bacteria which can cause infections.

Depends on where you get it. Eat before, use coconut oil to take care of it ten days after. Don't let it get wet and go back for adjustments if needed.
It will itch like hell and also peel. Don't worry just don't scratch it

feels like a bee sting. i have 2 tattoos. basically it depends where on ur body u get it. i got mine on my inner forearms n it felt lik a bee sting
