Swing/ bouncer

When did your baby grow out of or stop using their swing/ bouncer. We were gifted this huge crack swing and bouncer set for our baby shower, but now that my son is 6 months he has no interest in it at all! I feel guilty for giving it to a baby resale shop, but we honestly don’t use it and would rather get the credit for it and buy something he will need like a high chair now that he is in that age group. Would it be smart to do this or should I hang on to it longer?
