1-2 punch to the gut

It’s only been a couple weeks since my miscarriage at 10 weeks and I found out this morning that a friend is pregnant and due about 2 weeks before I would have been. And then I went to lunch with a colleague and she told me she’s pregnant.

Of course I’m happy for them. But this roller coaster of grief is overwhelming. I guess I need to be prepared for more pregnancy announcements to come rolling in. My strong emotions today remind me that grief isn’t linear and I need to just brace myself for the waves.
