Can I wear a ring on my ring finger if I’m not married?

My sister recently gave me a ring that she used to love until it didn’t fit anymore. I prefer rings on my left ring finger (I’m left handed so I think I’ll notice it more that way) but idk if I should.

Of course! I wear my favorite ring on my ring finger and I’m not married. I’ve had people say countless times “why do you wear it on that finger if you’re not married?” It drives me insane. Like sorry didn’t know my own finger was exclusively for that purpose lmao 😂 people are idiots.

There are absolutely no rules against wearing a ring on whatever finger you please. :) 
However, as being as the left ring finger is traditionally seen as the finger devoted to engagement/wedding rings, IF you are in the dating scene, it most likely will deter most men.. and those that aren’t, probably aren’t the type anyone wants anyway 😂
If you aren’t single, (even if the choice of finger is completely yours,) I’d personally run it by your S/O just to see if they are comfortable with it, as a ring on that finger could bring with it a lot of questions, or assumptions.
