Have you had an abortion?

Has any of you been in the position where you know your baby might not be a normal kid and you are pressured to make the decision if you want an abortion or keep the baby? If you ever were in this position. Please tell me what you did and why. My partner doesn’t want the baby because he just found out his 3rd son has autism and his other 2 kids (different moms) also have a form of autism. I am so confused between what I feel and the hopes I had/have and on what’s the right thing to do.

You wanting an abortion is a legitimate reason to have one- everyone needs to stop being so judgmental. I would talk to a geneticist to get more information but you have to do what’s right for you ❤️

... autism is not a good reason to have an abortion. Getting an abortion because you THINK your baby might not be normal.. is in my opinion, completely messed up. 
I'm telling you this now..  have an abortion for reasons  like this and it will absolutley haunt you for the rest of your life. You will never forgive yourself.

I find it quite sick that you would think about aborting your baby because he/she could have autism 1 because that is NOT a reason to abort your baby and 2 I would not let my partner tell me he doesn’t want the baby then think about aborting the baby, maybe you don’t deserve a child. Children no matter what are a blessing and being a mom is the worlds most special gift

I recommend you speak to a geneticist and make a consultation appointment with an autism specialist. Autism is a spectrum disorder so there is high functioning and then people who will be nonverbal and will need some sort of assistance throughout life. That’s something I’d speak to the geneticist and specialist about.

My older sister has autism and functions perfectly fine, she has a high quality of life and her disorder in no way makes her life unworthy of living. One of my coworkers? He has autism too, more severe than my sister. Yes he is sensitive to many things we would consider to be normal, but he is a person capable of many things. I’m not gonna preach pro-life at you, given that I’ve given myself a forced miscarriage before, but I truly believe autism should not be a reason to abort your child.

Just because they have autism doesn’t mean your child will! I wouldn’t abort my child because of that. My oldest is on the spectrum and I wouldn’t trade him for the world (His dad maybe lol) I have another son coming soon and I know he’s gonna be healthy but I wouldn’t abort for a possibility of Autism.

My son is autistic and he is a BLESSING! Any special needs child is a BLESSING. I hate this type of mind set. Also its not a done deal. Your child may not have autism

If you don't wanna keep the baby give the baby up for adoption. Don't have an abortion look up videos that might change your mind. There are people who can't have kids and would appreciate you if you have them the opportunity to become parents.
