Nowadays? I think it’s always been frowned upon to have a different opinion idk why ppl act like it’s new to this generation. Everyone followed tradition back in the days and caught hell for trying to do their own things. I think ppl don’t care anymore these days about doing what they want

Depends. Also depends where you live. Some things, even if they're a bit different, are more acceptable than ever. If it's something where nearly everyone has a certain view, particularly anything political, I wouldn't say it's worse than it's ever been.

I agree with some others who commented, it really depends what it is. I think if you expressing ur opinion won’t hurt anyone whatsoever (like concerning fashion trends or whatever) then sure, voice ur opinion. But if you’re spreading hate or voicing support of someone who spreads hate and does real damage to people, I’m going to have to challenge you on that.
