Should we see a doctor?

If we dont conceive by my next cycle it will have been 12 months of ttc since I miscarried at 13 weeks last August. It says everywhere that if you are young and healthy you should see a doctor after 12 months of ttc. I'm only 20 and me and my husband are healthy. He wants to see a specialist but I think we should give it more time because we dont have insurance. We've been using opks and concieve friendly lubes. What would yall do? What do they even do at the first appointment? Is it expensive? Pls give respond 💔
