I need tips ladies please

Im potty training my 3 year old he will be starting school in September I started on friday that first day he pee twice in his pants and yesterday he peed 4 times in his pants no matter how long or how often I would put him in the potty he didn’t wanted to go and today again he peed in his pants i would put him every 20 minutes for 5 minutes what am I doing wrong can anyone give me ideas pleaseeeeeeeee
