Should I take a test?

I started the nuvaring a couple days before I was supposed to get my period. I started it Friday, June 21st and was supposed to get my period that Sunday but didn’t due to having the bc in. Before removing the ring I noticed that I had pinkish discharge. It hasn’t been enough to soil a pad or anything though and sometimes it’s there and sometimes it isn’t. This has been going on for the past couple days since Sunday. Is it my period or just a reaction to the birth control? My last period was from June 1 to the 4th and I did have unprotected sex from the week of July 21st to the 28th. I know my cycle is going to be messed up since I should have waited to put the bc in but this is crazy.
