My daughter was born at 26 weeks pregnant 2 days ago. She’s gained 2 oz.. should she be gaining more? I’m going to speak to them about it tomorrow but I’m curious

Any weight gain at all for a preemie is great! Even the most seemly insignificant amount. Grow, baby, grow!!

It's not unusual for a premi to loose a bit of weight from birth in the first few days. The fact that your little girl is gaining is amazing!

I don't know about preemies, but it's common for full term babies to lose weight after birth, and then be back up to their birth weights within a week. So the fact your baby has gained as opposed to lost sounds good

In utero they supposedly gain about half oz. per day at that gestational age (1 oz in two days) so she is far out pacing that. Doesn't seem like a bad sign. I'm not a medical professional, though, so good idea about speaking to them!
