To The New Mom:
-Breastfeeding is not easy, but it gets easier and it is so worth it.
-If you're having trouble breastfeeding try a nipple shield, newborns tend to be lazy eaters.
-Formula feeding is okay, don't feel guilty.
-Never say no if someone wants to help, those first few weeks are the hardest. Accept the help.
-Get some sleep, have someone watch the baby. You need your rest, you're human, it doesn't make you a bad mom.
-Take pictures, you'll want to look back at them.
-Take an hour a day to have time to yourself, you need to recharge. Trust me.
-Start a schedule with baby as soon as possible and stick to it. You won't regret it.
-You were made to be a mother, trust your instincts. Trust your gut.
-It's okay to cry but if you feel like you have postpartum depression it is okay to get the help you need.
-Enjoy the little things. There are gonna be times of laughter and times of tears. It's not easy in those first few years. Trust your gut and never give up. One day this will all be something you miss. Don't worry mamas, you've got this. ❤
