Painful sex

Today is my predicted ovulation and it's pretty spot on (i use opks) and last night when i had sex it hurt. It felt like my boyfriend was hitting my cervix but we did the positions we always do and i never had a problem. I couldnt even Continue because every thrust hurt so bad. Should i go to the gyno just to be safe? Is this a normal thing around ovulation? I had cramps in my lower stomach too during sex
