New BF requires a lot of reassurance

I am so annoyed. My new bf requires so much reassurance at all times. It’s like I’m dating a woman (no offense lol) It’s turning me off and making me less attracted to him. Originally I thought he was so handsome, and we have so many interests, he’s a respectable person, I have fun when I’m with him. When we’re together I feel fine and happy. When we’re apart texting, I am always so annoyed! If we’re on the phone it’s all good. But through text, he’s always questioning me, always apologizing, always thinking I’m mad/upset just bc I may not use emojis or reply quickly or in depth. I’m 25 and I’m kinda drifting away from having full blown convos in text unless it’s serious. I like phone calls and in person. I just feel suffocated by his constant need for reassurance 😫
