I had an amazing labor experience!

S

The morning of my 39 week o.b appointment I woke up around 3 am with some mild contractions that were irregular. Continued having contractions throughout the morning and went to my scheduled appointment contractions at 11:00. My o.b checked my cervix I was 4cm, she did a sweep and sent me to labor and delivery. She broke my water around 1:00. After that the contractions became regular and things progressed quickly. I discussed with my o.b my pain management options and told her I did not want an epidural. I had researched my options and knew I wanted use the gas. My o.b told me not to be a hero that this is my first baby and I had no idea the pain I would be in. She basically wanted to scare me into an epidural. I told her I would get the epidural if I needed it but wanted to labor naturally if l could. So my o.b leaves and is on call till 5. My contractions became intense and were coming 2 minutes aparts, I asked for the gas and 3 contractions later I felt her coming I had to push. I called for the nurses they took away the gas checked me and I pushed 3 times. It was so incredibly painful but I knew she was coming, mu husband kept reassuring me that he could see her head and I finally got 2 pushes and she was out. She was delivered by a nurse, she came so quickly no one was ready. I knew she was coming I was able to to feel every contraction and I could feel when to push. My body did it I am so amazed and greatful! The cherry on top was finding out she was a girl as the nurse turned her around and held her up Lion king style so I could see the sex. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
