Fever

My toddler -2yr old - has had a fever of 100-102 past two days. Took him to his pediatrician today and she checked - no ear infection and no strep throat . Said it’s a virus and it has to just run its coarse and just to continue medicating him. His throat was a little red but that’s it.

He has no other symptoms other than diarrhea - and he’s well hydrated. She checked for that too. He keeps pointing at his cheek where his gum is swollen and he looks like he’s getting a molar in. Doc said it can’t be related. Anyone experience any fevers when molars were coming in? Any idea what’s going on? TIA

Btw he’s pretty active for having a fever.
