Birth control pills!! Help

So I recently started birth control about two weeks ago but my doctor didn’t tell me anything about them.

I started on a Wednesday and I did wait the 7 days to actually have sex. There were no placebo pills, just three weeks worth. I read that the placebo week is usually when you get your period. Am I supposed to wait a week to start taking them again? Take them every day still? Am I doing things correctly? Also thinking of calling a planned parenthood because I know they’d be more help. Any info helps!!
