Sudden high blood pressure

Blood pressure has been fine my entire pregnancy, last Tuesday was 120/78 but today it was 140/98 during my 36 week dr appt. Doctor let me go home today but I have to go back on Friday for a BP check.

They checked for protein in urine for fear of pre-eclampsia but came back negative, thankfully. No other symptoms for it either.

Will they still have me deliver early if it keeps going up without any pre-e symptoms? I forgot to ask 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m hoping to keep baby girl inside until at least 37 weeks which is next Wednesday.
