Water breaking with mucus plug?

About 30 mins ago I got woken up to the feeling of something coming out. I got up and go to the bathroom and my underwear was very vet along with a spot on my bed and a small trail to the toilet. I also had what I know for sure was my mucus plug drop out on the floor. What I'm not sure if it's possible to have your water break and your mucus plug at the same time or if excessive discharge is normal with losing the mucus plug. I'm waiting to see if I get a few contractions before calling my doctor as I'm having back pain every 10 minutes. Just wasnt sure I'd excessive discharge waa common with the mucus plug or if it sounds like my water broke at the same time.
