What age do babies stop using the infant seat?

Question

The infant seat I’d like to get says it can be used until baby weighs 35 pounds. How old is a child that weighs 35 pounds? I would think we would switch baby to the bigger seat around a year old... I would also think it would be more dependent on height rather than weight? I’m just not sure. Any advice for a clueless first time mom? Picture below of the seat we want to get.

I switched my son at 4.5 months. He’s 40 pounds right now at age 2.

We used our infant car seat until 6 months, she’s in a forever car seat rear facing. My daughter is 21lbs at 19 months, but she is 34inches long. I know some who keep using it until one, it depends on child and parents, I think

My sons 35-40lbs and he’s 2 1/2, he’s way too big for an infant seat. I used ours until he was about 6 months old. He could’ve used it longer but he was chunky and I hated carrying around him and a car seat.

Depends on the child. My son was big so he was out of his by 6 months. Carrying him plus the carrier was just too much.

My son outgrew the height limit in ours at six months before he hit the weight limit

My 2 year old isnt even 35 lbs yet lol we stopped at 1 year with the infant seat even though weight wise he was still good. He was long and getting crowded.

I wouldn't necessarily go according to age it's more according to weight the car seat will tell you

Depends on how small or big your child is but normally the infant car seat weight limits would range from a 2 1/2 to 3 yr old.
